The Kings Bottom Group Site is located within Kings Bottom Campground along the Colorado River on the paved portion of Kane Creek Road. The rest of the individual sites at Kings Bottom are first-come first-served, and during the busy season this is a highly sought location for its proximity to town, Canyonlands and Arches National Parks, popular 4x4 routes, climbing walls, mountain bike trails, and all the other outdoor activities that draw visitors to Moab. Kane Creek Road is a busy place during the day and the associated noise from motorists passing by on their way to various activities tends to die down by the end of the day, when you’re enjoying the evening light in Moab’s "Portal".The Kings Bottom Campground and Group Site is within walking distance to the Stairmaster trail, Moab Rim 4x4 trail, and Moonflower Canyon where you can visit rock imagery, use the reservable picnic area, and hike the trail up the canyon.
