The byway cuts through the Uinta Mountains, which are known for their abundant recreational opportunities and scenic beauty.Washington Lake offers canoeing, kayaking and fishing for rainbow, brook, cutthroat, tiger and albino trout. The popular Crystal Lake Trail begins within the site.
