Big Meadows sits atop the Blue Ridge at 3,510 feet with the Appalachian Trail running through the meadow and Skyline Drive offering 75 overlooks. The meadow itself hosts deer every evening without fail, and the fall foliage from the ridgeline is among the most spectacular drives in the eastern US.
