The Sage Creek Cabin is located in the Pryor Mountains on the Custer Gallatin National Forest. The cabin was built in 1892 to serve as a line cabin for horse and cattle operations before transitioning into the administrative office for the Pryor Mountain Ranger District in 1908. Today, the building’s character is still reminiscent of the 1920’s when the north wing and kitchen area were added to the original squared shaped building.

From Bridger, MT: Head south on US-310 Turn East on S Pryor Mountain Road Turn left at the windmills to stay on S Pryor Mountain Road Turn right, through the red gate, and continue to Sage Creek Cabin. The turn off for the cabin is just over a half mile beyond the National Forest boundary, and 250 feet past the turn for Sage Creek Road.
