Remote, high-elevation (8,000 ft), and one of the best-kept secrets in Yosemite. 89 sites in a sub-alpine meadow on the Tioga Road corridor. The surrounding high country hikes are spectacular and almost empty compared to Valley or Tuolumne destinations.
Lukens Lake trail (1.6 mi RT) leads to a high-elevation lake in a sub-alpine meadow with wildflowers in July. Almost never crowded, incredible reflections of the surrounding peaks at sunrise.
